‘Smart Promise’ is a deep dive into the world of smart products and the promises they hold. The ubiquitous nature of these devices raises pressing concerns about data privacy, targeted manipulation, and the monetization of users and their data. The allure of increased productivity and automation for greater comfort has driven the widespread adoption of these devices, even into the privacy of our homes. To express these concerns, we assumed the role of a fictional company that designs, markets, and sells smart products. By adopting the language and aesthetics of big tech companies, we aim to highlight the absurdity of this development and call for critical engagement with these products. To give our customers a glimpse into a potential future product, we are excited to introduce Dreamsync Pro—a smart device that taps into the last private frontier: our dreams.
